JadahK Shears fell in love with photography when she was in the 7th grade. On a class field trip, she drifted away from the rest of the class when the stillness of a nearby lake caught her eye. Capturing the elegance in front of her, she realized that seeing the beauty around the world is something that she really enjoyed.

        Inspired by the aforementioned experience, she became a photographer who grasps the beauty in the commonalities of the world. She likes to spend time with family because that is the most important relationship to have. Plus, her family is super fun and entertaining. She loves the outdoors because it is very relaxing and allows her to soak in the sunshine and feel the wind against her skin. She also finds joy in playing the piano and has been playing since the seventh grade. Playing the piano has always been very soothing and relaxing with the combinations of notes and rhythms coming together to create music. Another of her favorite things do is cooking because cooking means that she gets to eat. She has really excelled at preparing her favorite dishes i.e. apple pie, lemon cream pound cake, and sesame chicken with rice.

        She has traveled to a variety of places, where she has taken numerous photos. Myrtle Beach, Virginia Beach, Washington, DC, Denver, CO, Pittsburgh, and the Rocky Mountain National Park to name a few. She thoroughly enjoys taking pictures of almost everything. Given her affinity for being outside, she mostly takes pictures of the nature around her, flowers, plants, lakes, beaches, and bodies of water.

        In addition to photography, she aspires to be an actuary when she graduates from college. Her interest in actuarial sciences began when she was eight years old, as she had a love for math and numbers early on. Growing up, she found the importance of finances and learned of different risk that comes with money. Being an actuary, she would be able to assist others with money management.
